Evening Photo Documentation Volunteers photograph participants, visitors, performances, and volunteers. Volunteers are required to bring their own digital camera with them each evening they volunteer. Photographs will be used by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage in media outlets, such as online social networks, magazines, flyers, etc., and they will also be archived at the Smithsonian Institution. *ALL EVENING PHOTO DOCUMENTATION VOLUNTEERS MUST SUBMIT A PORTFOLIO TO BE CONSIDERED AND HAVE FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE.

Description:
Sustainability Volunteers tend Resource Recovery Stations during evening concerts (5:30pm-9pm). Volunteers will be provided with information to convey to the public about the Smithsonian's recycling/composting effort and will guide the public to place their recyclables and compostable trash into the proper containers. The Smithsonian is committed to sustainability and setting an example of environmental responsibility. This recycling/composting initiative is designed to serve as an example for all public events on the National Mall and elsewhere.
